Estinien is a veteran from a newly ended religious war that stretched across 1000 years; as such he is far from the friendly sort. He can be as cold as the winter-locked land he comes from, and it's not rare for him to respond with sarcasm or gruff dismissal. Ever a man for little to no social interaction, he likes to keep conversations short, since likewise is his temper and patience. He had dedicated the majority of his life to exacting vengeance against those who stole his family from him, and as such he's spent more time training than talking to people, so his manners and social skills are lacking. He doesn't care much to change this, however, and those who cannot handle his tactless commentary are advised to avoid him. However, with the war over, and a greater understanding of the enemy he forged his entire life on destroying, he's calmed down quite a bit. Still ever ready to fight, he at least isn't a hair trigger anymore. Nevertheless do not mistake this for growing soft. He did not rise to be the strongest warrior in his nation to give up the discipline and skill that got him there merely because of the war's ending. Quite the contrary, for he is now seeking a new purpose in which he may wield his lance and newfound power. Having been fused on a soul level with the dragon Nidhogg, his body has been corrupted by his draconic power. Power which he now wields, and has no reservations against tapping into should the situation call for it. With that being said, should Estinien become an ally, he is ever loyal. Holding those dear to him above near everything else. He is not one afraid to break the law should it benefit him or those he cares for. Laws mean little to him. He's the embodiment of "I do what I want", regardless of what consequences there might be. Being a man who values freedom above all else, his sense of morality can be a bit unorthodox. Despite that, he is more likely to lean towards what's just than what isn't. However, cruelty is no stranger to him, and he has proven himself to be quite morally grey at times. Ever a free spirit, Estinien is not one to be tied down, no matter how close of a bond he has with someone; no one will anchor him. PERMISSIONS Flirting - Yes, however Estinien will not likely return the gesture. Hugging - Yes, but depending on who does it, the reaction might not be favorable. Romance - Yes, however Estinien is basically asexual and aromantic, so it'd be the slow burn of the century if anything at all should arise. Harming/Injuring - Yes, if more minor I will happily work with it in the thread, however if it's something far more grave or disfiguring, I would prefer we properly plot it out! Killing - Yes, but just as above I would like to properly plot this out.
